21Shares launches ETP giving exposure to Crypto.com’s CRO

21Shares has launched a new exchange-traded product offering investors regulated exposure to the Cronos blockchain and its native CRO token. The ETP is listed on Euronext Paris and Amsterdam under the ticker CRON. It carries a 2.5% management fee and is designed to simplify access to emerging Web3 infrastructure, according to a release on the matter. Cronos (CRO) is a Layer 1 blockchain built to support decentralized finance, NFTs, and AI-integrated Web3 applications. Crypto.com Interoperable with both Ethereum and Cosmos, the network aims to bridge centralized and decentralized ecosystems. It is developed with support from Crypto.com, which remains a key contributor to its growth. “Cronos is uniquely positioned at the intersection of centralized access and decentralized innovation,” said Mandy Chiu, Head of Financial Products Development at 21Shares. The vote approved minting 70 billion new CRO tokens over 10 years, reversing a previous burn and raising concerns about dilution. To offset this, developers proposed burning 50 million CRO from the community pool, marking the fourth recent token burn. With this launch, 21Shares continues to expand its lineup of crypto ETPs, targeting investors seeking regulated instruments tied to blockchain ecosystems.
