BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) has 15 days of inflows in a row – a clear sign of institutional confidence in Bitcoin. On Monday alone, the ETF added 5,613 BTC or $530M according to Farside Investors. This brings BlackRock’s total inflows over the last 15 days to $4.5B, solidifying its lead in the spot Bitcoin ETF space. BlackRock’s total Bitcoin ETF holdings are now $44B making it one of the biggest institutional players in the crypto space. Despite all this accumulation, Bitcoin’s price is stable at $94,500 showing resilience in the face of broader market consolidation. Analysts see this as a bullish sign, that the market is absorbing institutional demand without too much volatility. Institutional Bitcoin Demand is Surging BlackRock’s accumulation strategy is not a short term play. In Q1 2025 they increased their stake in IBIT by 124% to $314M. This is a big shift in how traditional financial institutions are approaching crypto exposure. Meanwhile other ETFs lagged behind. On Monday: Bloomberg’s senior ETF strategist Eric Balchunas said IBIT is now the 8th largest fund in year to date flows, up from below the top 50.
